The ego says,

Look at me and
what I create.

The ego says,
Look at the other person and
the adulation they are getting that
I am not.

The ego says,
I am unhappy.

The centered self says,
Let’s play.

No matter what we are doing:
Teaching,
Learning,
Creating,
Researching,
Interacting,
Dancing and Singing.

Let it be play.

The ego replies,
But there is too much to do.
I am overstressed.

The centered self says,
Yes, I hear you, Ego.
That is the culture we live in,
Yet is there not something you
can let go of,
in order to
do the real work of life …

Play?
